- Idli Rice - 1 cup
- Urad Dal/ Black Gram Dal -1/2 cup
- Cooked Rice- 50 gm
- Salt- as needed
- Tomato - 1 no.
- Onion( Chopped pieces)- 100 gm
- Mustard - as needed
- Oil- 2 teaspoon
- Chilly Powder- 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder-1/4 teaspoon
- Curry leaves- 4-5 no.
Step 1:Soak the dal and rice separately for three hours. Grind (in wet grinder) the dal into smooth paste by adding enough water, then, add soaked rice and cooked rice slowly till it becomes smooth paste. Keep it in room temperature for 6 hrs.
Step 2: Heat a pan, add oil and mustard. After seasoning, add onion and deep fry it till it becomes golden brown color. Add Chilly powder, turmeric powder and curry leaves. Cook it in low flame. Then, add chopped tomatoes. Smash this mixture by using wooden spatula.
Step 3: Allow it to cool. Add this mixture into dosa batter and add salt as needed.

Step 4: Heat a pan and pour batter and spread it.

Tips and warnings
- Use casserole for keeping dosa
- Batter should be medium loose
