Sardine Pepper Fry (Mathi Fry/ Varuthathu)

Ingredients (for 2 servings):
- Sardine /Mathi- 4 pieces
- Chilly powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Oil - 1 tablespoon

Step 1: Wash Sardine /Mathi very well and make oblique gashes on both sides( as shown in the picture).
Step 2: Add Chilly,turmeric powder, pepper powder and salt in the bowl, mix it well and make a thick paste.
Step 3: Marinate both sides of sardines with your hands very well and keep it for 10 min.
Step 4: Pour 1 tablespoon oil in pan and heat it in medium flame.
Step 5: Put the marinated sardines in it and fry it deeply.
